BURLA: Adding another feather to its cap, Department of Cardiology at VSS Medical performed intervention of 12 absorbable stents, called bioresorbable vascular scaffold (ABSOR-BVS), on eight patients on Sunday.
The team of doctors from the Department comprising Dr SC Sahu, Dr Sunil Sharma, Dr Brajraj Dash and Dr Bijay Kumar Dash was led by renowned cardiologist of Apollo Hospital Dr PC Rath. They completed all the procedures at half the cost.
Talking to Express, Dr Rath said the intervention went on smoothly and he was satisfied with the infrastructure in the hospital. He said he was happy for being able to pay back to the institution where he studied and would be more than willing to visit again.
