BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday announced the names of chairpersons of nine state-owned public sector undertakings (PSUs) and other bodies.
Biju Janata Dal (BJD) legislators were, however, not considered for appointment to these bodies. Several leaders of the party who were denied tickets for the recently held elections to Assembly have been rehabilitated.
BJD General Secretary Narendra Swain has been appointed chairman of Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC). He was Chairman of Odisha Seeds Corporation in the last government. The other chairpersons are N Bhaskar Rao - Odisha Small Industries Corporation (OSIC), Subash Singh - Odisha Construction Workers’ Welfare Fund, Jogendra Tripathy - Odisha State Seeds Corporation (OSSC), Tejeswar Parida - Odisha Khadi and Gramodyog Board, Muzibullah Khan (Munna) - Odisha Film Development Corporation (OFDC), Srimayee Mishra - Mahila Bikash Samabaya Nigam (Women’s Cooperative Development Corporation). While Bijay Mohanty has been reappointed chairman of Sambalpur Development Authority, Subash Maharana is the new chairperson of Berhmapur Development Authority. Lenin Mohanty continues to be the editor of “Odisha Review”.
