Congress Protests

BHUBANESWAR: The Congress on Thursday burnt the effigy of Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Giriraj Singh for his controversial remarks against Sonia Gandhi.

Describing it as a serious matter, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Prasad Harichandan said how can anybody think of fair treatment of all sections of people when the Government has an anti-women minister.

Stating that Singh should publicly apologise to the nation for the derogatory remark, Harichandan demanded that the Prime Minister should dismiss him from the Council of Ministers. Congress workers burnt the effigy of the Minister at the Capital City and Cuttack.
