BHUBANESWAR: Gynaecological Endoscopy Today 2015, a gynaecological endoscopic live surgery workshop, was organised at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar on Saturday.
The workshop, with the theme ‘Minimal Access, Maximal Benefit’, was attended by eminent faculty members from the field of gynaecological endoscopy who gave live demonstration of various endoscopic surgeries in two operation theatres of AIIMS with live transmission to Mini Auditorium Complex.
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar along with Endoscopy Committee of Federation of the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Societies of India and Bhubaneswar Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society organised the workshop which was a first of its kind in the State.
Dr Hafeez Rahman from Kochi, Dr Uddhav Raj of Mumbai, Ahmedabad-based Dr Sukhadia Mehul and Dr Sujal Munshi, Solapur's Dr Sandesh Kade, Dr Bijoy Kumar Nayak, Dr Sujit Kumar Behera and Dr Pradip Kumar Panigrahi from Bhubaneswar presented the live demonstrations.
