OMSA Seeks DACP Scheme for Doctors

BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha Medical Services Association (OMSA) has reiterated its demand for implementation of Dynamic Assured Career Progression (DACP) scheme for doctors in the State as per Central Government’s sixth Pay Commission report.

A delegation of OMSA led by its president Dr Nirakar Bhatta met Chief Secretary GC Pati at the State Secretariat here on Monday and submitted a memorandum addressed to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

Bhatta said the sixth Pay Commission report recommended for implementation of Assured Career Progression (ACP) for all employees and DACP for doctors. While the State Government implemented the ACP, it has remained silent on DACP for Government doctors so far, he added.

OMSA has been demanding a rational transfer policy and the service doctors to be given preference to have their choice of posting to minimise the vacancy level.
