ATM Counters Open at GPOs

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Postal Circle launched its Automated Teller Machine (ATM) services with the inauguration of ATM kiosks on the premises of General Post Offices (GPO) in the Twin-City on Monday.

The ATM services aim at revamping Core Banking Solution (CBS) network in Department of Posts. Since its commencement in December last year, the department has operationalised 36 CBS post offices in the State.

During the initial phase, the ATM facility will be provided to account holders of postal savings bank only and later extended to card holders of all commercialised banks, Chief Postmaster General of Odisha Circle Tilak De said.

De further said three more ATMs will be started at Puri, Rourkela and Sambalpur shortly and the department has a target to launch 39 ATMs in the State during the current financial year.
