BHUBANESWAR: With increase in patient inflow, AIIMS Bhubaneswar has expanded its Cancer OPD and Day Care facilities along with in-patient beds.
Eight more beds have been added to the existing 18 beds for benefit of cancer patients. The new OPD will have electronic information and display systems, audiovisual board room, combined cancer clinic, tumour board room and academic section.
More than 50 cancer patients are reporting at the OPD every day while the day care unit sees around 25 patients for chemotherapy, pain and palliative care, HoD Dr Dillip Parida said.
