5 Tiffin Bombs Recovered

NUAPADA:A Maoist camp in Patdarah reserve forest of Boden block in the district bordering Chhattisgarh has been demolished and huge cache of arms and ammunitions seized by the security personnel.

The CRPF, DVF and SOG jawans were conducting combing operation in the reserve forest on March 28 when they came across the Maoist camp. The jawans returned to Nuapada on Wednesday.

Informing this to mediapersons, Nuapada SP Pinak Mishra said the security forces seized five tiffin bombs of 2 to 3 kgs each, 20 detonators, 30 metres of safety fuse wires, live bullets, medicines, Maoist uniforms and food materials. No one was present in the camp, though. He said the recovery suggests that over 30 Maoists were staying in the camp. Combing has been intensified, the SP said, adding that the strategic location of the reserve forest must have helped the Maoists to cross over the border.
