CUTTACK: In its ongoing probe into the criminal network of Dhal Samanta brothers, police registered another case against the gangster siblings on Wednesday. Sources said the case of tender fixing and extortion was registered against the gangster duo on the basis of a complaint lodged by a contractor with Chauliaganj police. The contractor, DCP Sanjeev Arora said, had paid `1.5 lakh towards protection money to Sushil Dhal Samanta. So far, 19 cases have been registered against the gangster brothers. Meanwhile, Cuttack ADM Laxmidhar Mohanty has served a show cause notice to Sushil, the founder president of Cuttack Nagar Yuvak Sangha, asking why its registration should not be cancelled. The Commissionerate of Police had written to Cuttack district administration to cancel the registration of CNYS.
