BHUBANESWAR: A day-long mega body and organ donation campaign will be launched at Jaydev Bhavan here on April 10.
Convenor of Body and Organ Donation Initiative (BODI), Dr Pravas Acharya said 500 representatives from 30 districts will attend the programme. As many as 300 body and organ donors will be honoured with Dadhichi Samman at the function. The programme will be organised under the auspices of Lok Sevak Mandal. Under the initiative, nearly 400 persons on affidavit have donated their bodies and organs. Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra, Director of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar Dr Ashok Mohapatra, Dr Sanatan Rath, BMC Mayor AN Jena, president of Lok Sevak Mandal Deepak Malaviya and publisher of Odia daily Samaj Niranjan Rath are among others who will attend the day-long campaign. Body donors can sign on their affidavits and collect citations and identity cards at the function, Acharya said.
