Devotees in Large Number Throng Ram Mandir

BHUBANESWAR:  Devotees in large number thronged Ram Mandir in the City on the occasion of Ram Navami on Friday. Adequate arrangements were put in place by the Commissionerate of Police and district administration to avoid any untoward incident and ensure a smooth festival.

The main gate of Ram Mandir was opened early in the morning. Four platoons of force were deployed near the temple to maintain law and order.

The temple bore a festive look with colourful lights and decorations. The chanting of hymns made the surroundings spiritual, a devotee said.

Visitor stood in long queues on Janpath braving the sultry weather. Temple sources said the darshan would continue till 1.30 am followed by Pahada after which the Lord will go to bed.
