PURI: Revenue Divisional Commissioner (Central) A B Otta on Thursday inspected the site where ISKCON has proposed to construct a temple at Sipasirubuli along the western side of Puri beach.
Otta, accompanied by revenue officials, examined the government land under the occupation of ISKCON. Earlier on the day, the RDC interacted with Additional District Magistrate Udhab Chandra Majhi, Sub-Collector Madhusudan Dash and Tehsildars of Puri and Brahmagiri.
Otta also reviewed the building plan approved by the Puri-Konark Development Authority (PKDA).
PKDA secretary Sanjib Kumar Mishra and Planning Member Lingaraj Pattnaik were also present.
Following a controversy over the issue, the State Government had ordered a probe by the RDC into the proposed project.
