Cops to Quiz Wanted Woman Maoist Jhansi

She was involved in abduction of Vineel Krishna in 2011

MALKANGIRI: A day after wanted woman Maoist, Korra Gasi alias Jhansi (27), surrendered before the Andhra Pradesh Police in Visakhapatnam, the Odisha Police said they are likely to bring her on remand. Jhansi had surrendered along with two other cadres on Thursday.

She was involved in the abduction of then Malkangiri Collector Vineel Krishna in 2011, and in a string of cases, including firing on BSF jawans.  She was carrying a reward of `four lakh on her head and surrendered citing  harassment by some top cadres. Speaking to mediapersons in Bhubaneswar, DGP KB Singh said Odisha Police will move the court seeking her remand for interrogation.
