Manoj Dubey Takes over as CRPF Odisha IG

BHUBANESWAR: Manoj Kumar Dubey, a 1986 batch officer of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), has taken over as the Inspector General, CRPF of Odisha Sector.

Dubey took charge from Piyush Anand who was transferred to Directorate General, CRPF at New Delhi. Soon after taking charge on Monday, Dubey visited Koraput and Kandhamal districts and took stock of the Left Wing Extremism (LWE) situation.

An expert in training and intelligence, Dubey has served in UN Mission at Angola and in the elite Special Protection Group (SPG). At a meeting held at CRPF’s Odisha Sector headquarter in the City, Dubey emphasised on effective utilisation of force in field to tackle Maoist menace in the State.

He also focused on maintaining better coordination with State police and other para-military forces to succeed in the ongoing mission against LWE.
