Marik to Fight Godda By-poll

BHUBANESWAR: Former Director General of Police Sanjeev Marik will contest the by-election to Godda Assembly constituency in Jharkhand as a JMM candidate.

Marik’s candidature for the by-poll scheduled on May 16 was announced by working president of JMM Hemant Soren at Ranchi on Friday. Marik had joined JMM on Monday. By-poll in Godda has been necessitated after death of BJP MLA Raghunandan Mandal in January this year.
