OERC Gets New Building

BHUBANESWAR:  Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the new building of Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC) at Chandrasekharpur here on Wednesday.

Spread over one acre of land with a built-up area of 3310.39 square metre, the building will partially source power from a 25 kilo watt rooftop solar grid connected system. OERC has followed the parameters for rainwater harvesting meant to recharge ground water.

The State government has funded `13 crore for the building which has been built at a cost of `16 crore.

Energy Minister Pranab Prakash Das, Tourism Minister Ashok Panda and Bhubaneswar MP Prasanna Patsani were present.
