CUTTACK: One person died and 20 others sustained injuries when a vehicle carrying artistes of a musical bandparty overturned near Sikharpur here on Wednesday night. The deceased was identified as Harish Mukhi (35) of Maipur in Angul district.Sources said 24 artistes of the band party were going in a mini-truck from Toral Sahi in Jagatpur to attend a marriageceremony at Barang. All of a sudden, the vehicle lost balance and overturned after hitting a high-mast light pole. Chauliaganj Police rushed to the spot, rescued the injured and admitted them to SCB Medical College and Hospital. While Harish succumbed to his injuries at SCB on Thursday, condition of three others is stated to be critical. The driver of the vehicle is absconding.
