Chasi Mulia Supporters Take out Protest Rally

JEYPORE: Supporters of Chasi Mulia Adivasi Sangh (CMAS) of Narayanpatna took out a rally demanding fulfilment of their 14-point charter of demands which includes immediate release of their leader, Nachika Linga, on Friday. Hundreds of tribals of nine panchayats gathered at the Jagannath temple in Narayanpatna and took out the rally demanding development of roads, health and education facilities in the area. They also demanded immediate trial of Nachika Linga and other members of the outfit. The tribals then submitted a memorandum to the State Government through Narayanpatna Tehsildar HK Singh.

The local administration had made adequate security arrangements. The rally was taken out after several months of Linga’s arrest.
