RAYAGADA: Vigilance sleuths of Balasore division on Friday simultaneously raided the houses and office of Bikram Kumar Pradhan, a Technical Consultant (Junior Engineer) of Sarva Sikhya Abhiyan (SSA) at Kotpad over allegations of amassing property disproportionate to his known sources of income. Threes Vigilance teams under the direction of Balasore Vigilance Division SP Sunil Kumar Senapati searched his residental building here along with his house in his native at Karmada in Balasore town.
Sources said, a double-storey building worth about C47 lakh was found in his name which was beautified with an additional expense of C30 lakh.
Besides, C37,332 cash and 230 grams gold, various deposits worth of C39 lakh, C3.5 lakh investment in a micro finance organisation and another C2.4 lakh investment in a private finance organisation at Jagdalpur in Chandigarh were detected. He is serving in SSA for the past eight years. Further investigation is on, the SP said.
