Use InstaSafe and keep hackers at bay

BHUBANESWAR: This start-up has a solution for Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi who was at his wit’s end trying to restore his twitter account that was hacked a couple of days back.

InstaSafe Technologies is a leading provider of cloud-based security solutions that helps mobile and remote workers securely access enterprise apps, emails and web on a Security-as-a-Service (SaaS) model.

Unlike appliance-based solutions, InstaSafe offers a hardware free, zero configuration, self-service style, SaaS model which could be deployed in minutes as well as provide comprehensive reporting.

Co-founder and CEO of the start-up Sandip Kumar Panda, who was at the Make In Odisha conclave here on Friday, said InstaSafe’s mission is to make organisations safe, secure and productive by leveraging the power of the cloud.

‘’We believe our platform can become the trusted cloud-based security layer globally that spans organisations, applications and devices to enable users to get work done more safely and efficiently,’’ he claimed.

Suggesting the team handling Rahul Gandhi’s account, Panda said twitter always uses two-factor authentication for someone having a team working on tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer or Tweetdeck. ‘’If a password is shared, one needs to ensure that it is changed when a team member leaves the organisation,’’ he said. While personal reputations get destroyed due to hacks, organisations are held at a ransom with the dreaded Ransomware. The attacks not only compromise corporates but also affect Government, defence and other sensitive areas.

Sandip was also open to offer his help and support to organisations facing the threat of Ransomware as he believes that this is a dragon that has to be defeated.

An emerging company, Instasafe was founded by four techies in 2012. It has been recognised as one of the top 50 technology companies from India by Nasscom in its ‘Emerge 50 initiative’.
