JAGATSINGHPUR: District and Sessions Judge, Jagatsinghpur has asked Paradip police to submit case diary for hearing the bail plea of Congress leader Bapi Sarkhel in SSL manager Mahendra Swain’s murder case. The trade union leader was arrested on November 18 in connection with the murder.
After arrest, Sarkhel was produced in the court of JMFC, Kujang.
He was sent on 14-day judicial custody as his bail plea was rejected. Later, he was sent to jail.
Sarkhel appealed in District and Sessions Judge court, Jagatsinghpur for bail which was rejected on Monday. The next hearing has been posted for December 26.
