TALCHER: A 24-year-old youth, Sib Sundar Das, was shot dead by another youth near Nalam village under Kaniha police limits on Thursday afternoon.
According to police, Sib belonged to Nakepasi village and had gone to Nalam village to watch a cricket match along with two of his friends.

At around 3 pm, Sib and his friends went to a dhaba to have lunch when five youths arrived at the spot in two motorcycles and intercepted them. Suddenly, one of the youths on the motorcycle opened fire at Sib, killing him on the spot.  Two of his friends, though, were left unhurt. The youths then fled from the spot.
Police suspect past enmity to be the reason behind the murder. Additional SP PK Mishra said the accused has been identified and would be nabbed soon.
