BHUBANESWAR: The Commissionerate of Police on Sunday formed a special team to probe into the alleged involvement of Mayor AN Jena in the death of engineering graduate Asutosh Mohanty alias Rishi. Rishi’s death was so far registered as an unnatural death case by the Khandagiri Police. While the post-mortem report stated cause of death as cardiac failure, police maintained that Rishi died due to drug overdose. The youth, who had completed his engineering at a private university in the city, died on May 6 this year. Rishi and his family’s ties with Jena, his friend circle and drugs angle will be under the purview of the inquiry. The team will be headed by Assistant CP of Zone III, Tapan Patnaik, said DCP Satyabrata Bhoi.
