BHUBANESWAR: Unfolding the innate potential of a child is the noblest profession on earth and maximum care should be taken while imparting education to youngsters. A teacher should work to bring out the best in a student, eminent litterateur Prof Sanghamitra Mishra said here on Friday.

Addressing the prize distribution ceremony of DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur, Prof Mishra advised the students to utilise available resources to the fullest and prove themselves to be worthy citizens of the nation. Headmistress Sanjeeta Sahoo, academic supervisors Mritirekha Mohanty and Basanta Kumar Das and senior teachers Aneela Pattnaik, Sharddhanjali Panda and Ms Sonali also spoke. Winners of competitions organised during 2016 were felicitated on the occasion. 

The award ceremony was followed by a spectacular dance performance titled - Girls are our Precious Wealth.

Anugoonj-2016 held

A harmonious blend of music and dance marked the 45th annual day Anugoonj-2016 of DAV Public School, Unit- VIII here on Friday.

Addressing the occasion, former vice-chancellor of Biju Patnaik University  of Technology Dr Omkar Nath Mohanty advised students to maintain a winning attitude which is essential for achieving success and prosperity in life. 

Principal Bhagyabati Nayak presented the annual report enumerating the school's achievements.
Rank holders in academics and achievers of extra-curricular events were felicitated on the occasion.
