3 detained in Pallahara teacher murder case

Three persons have been detained by Pallahara police in connection with the mysterious murder of a woman school teacher.

ANGUL: Three persons have been detained by Pallahara police in connection with the mysterious murder of a woman school teacher. The highly decomposed body of the teacher that was found from a brick kiln on Thursday, has been sent for postmortem.

Even as police are tightlipped on the murder, locals suspect she was raped and murdered. Police had recovered the half burnt body of the 34-year-old teacher from a brick kiln near her Goppur village under Pallahara police limits. The teacher, who was working in Bandhabhuin Girls High School, went missing on December 13 while returning home from school.  Her brother and husband had lodged a police complaint.

On December 25, police found her scooty, bag and a slippers near her village and a day later, her mobile, SIM card and another slipper were found from a garden near the village.
