CUTTACK: Tension prevailed on Ravenshaw University campus for the second day with an eruption of a fresh clash between two groups of students on Monday night. More than 12 students from both sides have been injured in the clash.
On Sunday, boarders of Lalitgiri and New Hostels confronted each other over a trivial issue which turned into a group clash. Though five students from both the groups sustained injuries, the clash was suppressed after the intervention of the police.
However on Monday night, the two warring groups again resorted to stone pelting following which some boarders of Lalitgiri went on a rampage spree at New Hostel and vandalised several bikes. One platoon of police force has been deployed on the campus to check further flare-ups.ens
