BHUBANESWAR: Commissionerate Police on Sunday suspended three constables for creating ruckus during the inauguration of Havildars and Constables Branch Association’s hall at Reserve Police Line here on August 11.

The suspended constables are Laxmidhar Lenka, Prasanna Behera and Karunakar Barik. Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi said, the three constables were suspended for indiscipline.
Lenka and Behera, who were the president and secretary of the union, were unhappy over their names not being displayed in the hall during its inauguration. Lenka and his supporters had protested at the venue.
The inauguration of the hall, which was scheduled in November, could not be held due to unknown reasons.
