Swine flu suspect woman admitted to MKCG Hospital

A 50-year-old woman, Manik Khosola of Nandigam village under Dasamantpur block, was admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital (MCH) here with symptoms of swine flu on Sunday.

BERHAMPUR:A 50-year-old woman, Manik Khosola of Nandigam village under Dasamantpur block, was admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital (MCH) here with symptoms of swine flu on Sunday.She was shifted to MKCGMCH for a detailed examination after undergoing treatment at Koraput hospital.

Meanwhile, after receiving information about swine flu cases at SCBMCH in Cuttack, the district health office has started taking precautionary measures to check the spread of the disease among hospital staff and doctors.

CDMO Saroj Mishra said the State Health Directorate has been asked to supply vaccines to immunise doctors and other health staff looking after outdoor patients at MKCGMCH, City Hospital, Chhatrapur and Bhanjanagar SDH.

“The directorate has also been asked to supply 1,000 packets of Tamiflu medicines. But, we have received only 200 packets so far,” the CDMO added.
