Mystery shrouds lady doctor’s death

The doctor, who was found unconscious near a temple in the city, was rushed to SCB Medical College and Hospital where she was declared brought dead on Thursday night.

The doctor, who was found unconscious near a temple in the city, was rushed to SCB Medical College and Hospital where she was declared brought dead on Thursday night.

The locals, who found the 40-year-old woman falling down after injecting herself something from a syringe near Khapuria Panchamukhi Hanuman temple in the evening, took her to SCB Medical with the help of Madhupatana police.

Though the preliminary police investigation revealed that the lady doctor had committed suicide by injecting some poisonous liquid, the cause and circumstances under which she took the extreme step are yet to be ascertained.

“We will conduct a probe to ascertain the cause of the suicide,” said a senior police officer adding the preliminary investigation revealed that the lady doctor’s family had a suicidal tendency.
