ANGUL: Angul SP Kavita Jalan on Monday clarified that no house was searched during the routine search carried out by police recently.
Reacting to news reports published in a section of media that the residence of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan was searched on Saturday night, Jalan denied any such incident and said it is a routine practice during the poll to search lodges and guest houses to ensure free and fair poll.
“Accordingly, search was conducted in lodges and guest houses not only at Talcher but across the district during the election. No house was searched by police in any place of the district,” she said.
