Congress has no 'nexus' with either BJP or BJD: Mishra

While the Congress has ideological difference with the BJP, the party is strongly opposed to the BJD in Odisha.

BHUBANESWAR: Leader of Opposition in the Odisha Assembly Narasingha Mishra today said that the Congress would not join hands with either the BJD or the BJP although its performance was dismal in the just-held Panchayat election.

Mishra also rejected the allegation that it had a 'nexus' with either of the two parties levelled by BJP MLA Pradeep Purohit and BJD lawmaker Samir Ranjan Dash yesterday. "We have no nexus either with the BJD or the BJP. There is also no possibility of joining hands with the two.

While the Congress has ideological difference with the BJP, the party is strongly opposed to the BJD in Odisha. Therefore, there is no question of having any nexus with BJD or BJP," Mishra said. He said that his party would take strong action against those who were found having any political link with either of the two parties during the Panchayat election.
