BHUBANESWAR: Union Secretary, School Education and Literacy Anil Swarup on Tuesday advised the State Government to upload the best practices and innovative ideas for quality improvement in education in ‘Shaala Darpan’, an online portal of the Ministry of Human Resource Development.


Swarup, who reviewed school education in the State in presence of Chief Secretary AP Padhi and School and Mass Education Secretary Ranjana Chopra, said the best practices of Odisha will be rolled out in other States.

“I am visiting all the States to study the pattern of education being offered to students and steps taken by State Governments to improve the quality of education. Best practices of the States will be be scaled up so that students will be benefited,” Swarup told reporters.


Highlighting the steps taken by State Government to improve the quality of education at elementary and secondary levels, Chopra said now, major thrust is given to skill development in school curriculum.
Padhi requested for more Central aid under skill development and other measures taken by the State Government for retention of students till secondary level.
