CUTTACK: As many as 10 students including five girls and a teacher of a private school were injured after the bus in which they were travelling rammed into a Kolkata-bound tourist bus on NH-16 near Bandalo square within Tangi police limits on Sunday.

All the injured students, in age the group 10 to 13 years, and the injured teacher Bishnu Charan Sahu (36) have been admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital.

Sources said around 30 students and three teachers of Swami Vivekananda Bidya Vihar at Nrutanga in Mahanga block had come in a private bus to participate in Talent Search Competition organised on the premises of Ganapati Sishu Bidya Mandir at Jhanjirmangala in Cuttack.
After the competition, the students and teachers were returning back via Chandikhole when the mishap took place at about 4.55 pm.
