SAMBALPUR: Seven more sluice gates of Hirakud dam were opened on Monday to release flood water. Currently, water is being released through 10 sluice gates with three being opened on Sunday.
At 6 pm on Monday, water level of Hirakud Dam Reservoir (HDR) stood at 608.47 feet. The inflow into the reservoir was 1, 73,057 cusec and outflow was 1,73,057 cusec.
Rainfall in the upstream of the dam in the last 24 hours has been recorded at 14.16 mm while 6.64 mm has been registered in the downstream.
