Cops search drunken woman tourist house

City Police on Tuesday conducted a search in a duplex house at Chandrasekharpur’s Maruti Villa following a tip-off that the 21-year-old Uzbek national was staying there for the last couple of days.

BHUBANESWAR: City Police on Tuesday conducted a search in a duplex house at Chandrasekharpur’s Maruti Villa following a tip-off that the 21-year-old Uzbek national was staying there for the last couple of days. The woman, had allegedly manhandled cops on Sunday night.

During the search, police came across a youth who is believed to be caretaker of the house. He has been detained for questioning over ownership of the duplex and about its occupants.The caretaker, however, claimed that he did not know anyone and had arrived only two days back.
The police also recovered a flight ticket of the arrested woman which revealed that she had taken an Air India flight from New Delhi on July 19 to reach Bhubaneswar. Police said, they seized more items from the duplex but did not specify what those are.

The woman has, meanwhile, revealed to the police that her nick name was mentioned in the Aadhaar card and her official name is different. She said she is a native of Tashkent.
According to the Aadhaar card which police suspect to be a fake one, name of the woman is Duniya Khan and she is a resident of Lajpat Nagar in New Delhi.
