BHUBANESWAR: The State Government on Wednesday effected a massive reshuffle at the top level of police administration by transferring Superintendents of Police (SPs) of 16 districts and several other senior officials.
As per the changes, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Cuttack Sanjeev Arora has been transferred as SP, Sambalpur district in place of Akhilesvar Singh. Singh has been posted as DCP, Cuttack.
Rourkela SP Anirudh Kumar Singh has been appointed as SP, Mayurbhanj in place of Prakash R. Prakash has been transferred as SP, Jharsuguda. Jharsuguda SP Umashankar Dash will take over as SP, Rourkela.
While Kalahandi SP Brijesh Kumar Rai has been transferred as SP, Angul, Koraput SP Charan Singh Meena will take over as SP, Jajpur. Nayagarh SP Kanwar Vishal Singh will replace Meena as SP, Koraput. Malkangiri SP Mitrabhanu Mohapatra has been appointed as SP, Kandhamal in place of Pinak Mishra. Mishra will take over as SP, Sundargarh.
Deogarh SP Sarah Sharma has been transferred as Principal, Police Training Institute, Byree. She has been replaced by Boudh SP Battula Gangadhar. Rayagada SP K Siva Subramani has been posted as SP, Balangir in place of Ashis Kumar Singh who will take over as SP, Nayagarh.
Similarly, Nabarangpur SP Sudhansu Sekhar Mishra has been posted as SP, Boudh. Boudh SDPO Anupama James has been posted as DCP, Headquarters, Commissionerate, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack. Nuapada SP Madkar Sandeep Sampat has been posted as SP, Kalahandi while Chitrakonda SDPO PR Rahul will be the SP, Rayagada.
SDPO, Sunabeda Parmar Smit Parshottamdas, SDPO, Kesinga Jagmohan Meena and SDPO, Barbil Mukesh Kumar Bhamboo have been posted as SPs of Nuapada, Malkangiri and Nabarangpur respectively. Besides, Additional SP, Sambalpur Dipti Ranjan Ray has been posted as SP, in-charge of Khurda.
The Government has also transferred several senior police officials. According to the changes, Additional Director General of Police (DGP), Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) Manoj Kumar Chhabra has been posted as Additional DGP, Biju Patnaik State Police Academy (BPSPA) in place of SM Narvane. Narvane will take over as Additional DGP, OHRC.
IG of Police, Modernisation Susanta Kumar Nath has been posted as IG of police, Northern Region, Sambalpur. IG of Police, Railways Vinaytosh Mishra has been posted as IG of police, Eastern Region, Balasore while IG of Police, Western Region, Rourkela Radha Kishan Sharma will be the IG of Police, Economic Offences Wing (EOW) with additional charge of special task force.
Sharma will replace Arun Bothra who has been posted as IG of Police, Railways. IG of Police, Southern Region Amitabh Thakur will take over as IG of Police, Modernisation. IG of Police, Eastern Region, Balasore Ghanashyam Upadhyaya will replace Thakur.
Besides, DIG of Police, Sundargarh Nikhil Kumar Kanodia will take over as DIG of Police, Training, BPSPA while DIG of Police, Angul Kavita Jalan has been posted as DIG of Police, Rourkela.
