BHUBANESWAR: The State Government on Monday said it will formulate Aerospace and Defence Production Policy and Automobile Component Policy in 2017-18 fiscal.

This was informed by Industries Minister Debi Prasad Mishra while replying the debate on demand for grants of Industries Department in the Assembly.

Mishra said the State Government has received investment intent of `3.14 lakh crore from 126 investors during the investors meet in Mumbai, Bangalore and Bhubaneswar in 2016. The State received 83 investment proposals worth `2.03 lakh crore in the Make-in-Odisha conclave here in December last year alone.

The other investment intent include `70,959 crore from 14 proposals during the Make-in-India week in Mumbai in February, 2016 and another `90,670 crore from 29 proposals in the Odisha Investors Meet in Bangalore in September last year.

This is possible due to the new sectoral policies pronounced by the Government. The new policies were highly appreciated by investors from across the globe, he added.

He said Pharmaceutical Policy, Healthcare Investment Promotion Policy, Apparel Policy, Biotechnology Policy, Renewable Energy Policy and Startup Policy were formulated before the Make-in-Odisha conclave here.
