CUTTACK: Acting on the recent direction of Housing and Urban Development Department, Commissioner of Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) Gyana Das on Friday ordered the City Health Officer to take steps for online registration of birth and death and issue the certificates.
Das directed the Health Officer to communicate the order to Government/private hospitals. ‘’No manual records shall be received from health institutions and no manual certificates for birth and death shall be issued,’’ the CMC order stated.

The CMC Commissioner also directed Deputy Commissioner(Licence) to ensure that all data pertaining to trade licence issued earlier are entered in the existing database and no manual trade licence is issued.  Existing trade licences shall be renewed through e-municipality application and licence fees collected through the app.
Two online Citizen Service Centres have already been set up for the purpose at Biju Bhawan and Bikash Bhawan. Steps are being taken to set up four more centres in the city, Das said.
