Dharmendra Pradhan wants transparent probe in Swargadwar land grab case

Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday said the State government should conduct a transparent probe and secure its religious status.

PURI: With the issue of Swargadwar land grab blowing up and the probe panel finding proof of illegal transfer of land, Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday said the State government should conduct a transparent probe and secure its religious status.

Speaking during the inauguration of Digi Dhan Yojana here, Pradhan said Swargadwar is considered sacred for every Hindu of the country and it is the responsibility of the State Government to preserve it.

On Digi Dhan Yojana, he said the Hundi inside Jagannath temple should be digitised and servitors paid their dues in digital mode.

Stating that there are 6,000 digital transaction centres in Odisha, he observed that beneficiaries under Indira Awas Yojana and Sauchalaya Yojana were financially exploited and to curb this, all the beneficiaries should be paid in digital mode. Pradhan was accompanied by Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Babul Supriyo.

Among others,  advisor of Niti Aayog Srikant Naik and Sarpanch of Nuagaon village under Satyabadi block Srikant Mishra were present.

Nuagaon, which was declared the first digital village of the State, was felicitated by Pradhan.
