Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik has asked the office-bearers to complete the party programmes in time so that common people can be involved in them.

BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik has asked the office-bearers to complete the party programmes in time so that common people can be involved in them.
In a letter to State level office-bearers, the CM said extended executive committee meetings will be convened in all organisational districts of the party by June-end to discuss achievements of the Government and make people aware of the same.

All Ward committees will be constituted between July and September. People will be made aware of welfare schemes launched by the Government and BJD’s programmes by organising public meetings in villages. Steps will be taken to involve more villagers in ‘Ama Gaon Ama Bikash’ programme to be launched by the party from July 1, Naveen said in the letter.
BJD vice-president Debi Prasad Mishra said ‘Biju Sathis’ will be involved in the programmes of the party at village and panchayats levels. Party meetings will be held at block level for success of different programmes to be launched by the BJD. Ministers, district observers and presidents, MLAs and block presidents have been asked by the CM to supervise and attend the party meetings.
Mishra, former MP Bhupinder Singh and party MLA Debasis Samantray have been appointed as State coordinators of ‘Ama Gaon Ama Bikash’ programme by Naveen.
