BHUBANESWAR: An endowment established by US-based eminent scientist Bhakta Bhusan Rath has decided to encourage creative writing in English among college and university girl students of Odisha every year. It has decided to invite short stories from girls and the best one would be awarded a cash prize of `10,000 and a certificate. Named “Sushama (Panigrahi) Rath Award”, it will be presented at the annual function of Sailabala Women’s Autonomous College in Cuttack.
As English has now become the most accepted second language all over the world, the endowment has decided to encourage short story writing in English.Those interested to participate are requested to write short stories in English only and maximum 4000 words.
