KORAPUT: Even as the Sarispadar gang-rape remains unsolved, Koraput district police on Monday issued a fresh notice to four youths who were interrogated in connection with the sensational case. The four, stated to be relatives of the victim, have been asked to present themselves at the DIG office on Tuesday.

The police had earlier interrogated and released them a few days back. One of them, Tapan Khora, was also subejcted to lie detection test. On the other hand, the rape victim has created a flutter by saying that she was being pressurised to alter her statement. In a video that got viral, the girl narrated her story before former Pottangi MLA Ramchandra Kadam and said a lady  police constable allegedly harassed her mentally by issuing threats. In one of the conversations, the police constable allegedly said the girl would have spilled the truth had she been in a police station instead of hospital.

The video shows the girl telling Kadam that she was not afraid of being beaten up by police since she was telling truth. Kadam was heard calling Koraput SP over phone seeking his intervention for safety of the victim. Interestingly, the girl has neither been released from the hospital nor allowed to meet outsiders even two weeks after the incident. Police are also tightlipped about the developments.

Meanwhile, Khora returned to his village on Sunday and said police had no reason to detain him. On Monday, SP of Human Rights Protection Cell Dilip Das also visited the village and met the victim at Sahid Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital.
