Children clean school toilet

An inquiry has been initiated by the School and Mass Education department into the allegation of students being asked to clean a toilet in Srimaa Nodal Vidyapeeth in Paradigarh.

 PARADIP: An inquiry has been initiated by the School and Mass Education department into the allegation of students being asked to clean a toilet in Srimaa Nodal Vidyapeeth in Paradigarh. The incident that had occurred on Wednesday came to light when a video of it was uploaded on social networking site. 

The incident has not gone down well with the parents of the children who have demanded stringent action against the accused teachers. Headmaster of the school Duryodhan Sethy, who is also the in-charge headmaster for two other high schools in the area, said the incident took place in his absence and he has ordered an inquiry into the incident.

“Any teacher found guilty will face stringent action,” he added.Kujang Block Education Officer Krutibas Barik said a team of officials has been sent to the school for inquiry and action against the teacher would be taken after receipt of their report.
