Four held for gambling in Odisha's Jaipur

JAIPUR: At least four persons were arrested for gambling during a raid at a hotel in Vyas Nagar town by Jajpur Road police on Wednesday. Cash worth Rs 50,800, two packets of playing cards, six mobile phones and a few liquor bottles were seized from their possession. The arrested were forwarded to local court and later remanded in judicial custody after their bail pleas were rejected.

Acting on a tip off, a police team raided Avinandan hotel near Gopabandhu Chowk in Vyas Nagar town and arrested the four persons. It is being verified whether the hotel staff were involved in the
racket.
