PUDUKKOTTAI: The law and order situation in the State has worsened and there has been a mushroom growth of mercenaries, said Seeman, founder-president, Naam Thamizhar party, here on Wednesday.
Seeman made this observation while participating in the last rites of Suba Muthukumar (32), State Coordinator of the party at Vadakadu near here.
Sources said Muthukumar of Madurai district was married to the daughter of Kalimuthu, president of the district unit of the party. He was staying at Vadakadu and was active in championing Tamils cause. On Tuesday night, when Muthukumar was moving near Anna Statue, some miscreants hacked him to death.
