Cops grill actor friend of Alagiri Junior

A special police team conducted an inquiry with actor Mahat Ragavendra, a childhood friend of Union Minister M K Alagiri’s son Durai Dayanidhi, in connection with the illegal granite case, here on Monday.

Ragavendra, who appeared as a Dharavi bar owner in the film Mankatha, produced by Cloud Nine Movies owned by Durai Dayanidhi, is a childhood friend of Dayanidhi and both were in touch either through mobile phone or social networking sites, police said.  As Durai is absconding, a special team headed by DSP Thankavel, quizzed Mahat Ragavendra to find out the whereabouts of Dayanidhi.  “We have summoned Durai’s close friends and employees of Cloud Nine Movies,” said a police officer.
