Students Pledge To Help

PUDUCHERRY: Nearly 100 students from a private school participated in a programme organised in connection with the ‘World Day against Child Labour’ here on Thursday.

The Community Service Students of St Antony’s school raised slogans against employing children below the age of 14. A few of the students, dressed as child labourers, caught the attention of the public near Swadeshi Mills.

The students pledged to help children employed in firms and put them back in school with the help of the enforcing authorities.

The students also vowed to campaign against child labour
