PUDUCHERRY: Coming out in support of Lt GOvernor Virendra Kataria, the AIADMK on Friday demanded the removal of Chief Minister N Rangasmy, for the mounting administrative lapses. In a statement, party state secretary P Purushothaman, MLA,said the workers of several public sector undertakings and corporations had not received salaries for several months. In his view, the victory of the ruling AINRC candidate in the LS election could not camouflage the failure of the government. The AIADMk leader said instead of changing the LG or officials, it is the Chief Minister, who should be removed from his post. Pointing out the different schemes being implemented by AIADMK general secretary, J Jayalalithaa in neighbouring Tamil Nadu, the Puducherry MLA exhorted the people to take a pledge to bring in “Amma Rule” in the Union Territory.
