PUDUCHERRY: AIADMK MLA A Baskar, along with his supporters, picketed the sub-station at Marapalam on Monday, protesting against frequent unscheduled power cuts in his Mudaliarpet constituency.
The power cuts were more prominent during night, when even the street lights did not glow properly. There was no junior engineer posted after the transfer of personnel, to take care of power related issues. The executive engineer and his team assured the MLA of addressing the problem, after which the stir was withdrawn.
