City Police Summon 50 in Fake DIG Case

COIMBATORE:  City crime branch police have sent summons to around 50 persons to enquire about their involvement with the fake DIG, Shanmugadurai, who was arrested by the city police recently.

The city police, who raided the fake DIG’s house in Saligramam in Chennai recently, have seized several documents.

These documents include details related to a Kerala lawyer who had reportedly given cheques for several crores of rupees, documents containing names of higher officials in various departments, including in Public Works, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment and a chairman of a city hospital.

Police have summoned these persons to appear before them explain their involvement with the fake DIG.
